Bagel and avocado were perfectly done and presented well. Atmosphere was a bit busy, but charming. Nice gift shop, too. The coffee was delicious and well prepared, though the high end coffee in the gift shop seems tailored for tourists eager to spend more than should ever be spent on a bag of coffee.
I went with a friend to Honolulu Coffee on Saturday. It was a nice treat. The coffee was good with lots of flavors and styles to choose from. The food was good too. There is the history of coffee displayed in the cafe. They also have an outdoor space / garden to enjoy your coffee and food.
the whole experience is made for the consumer, from enjoying the coffee to watching the beans get roasted to learning about the history of coffee through the display on the walls. the environment is great, very high ceilings and open concept. I recommend ordering a sidecar if you like espresso and traditional coffee.
I've always wondering how isolated this place look up until a year ago when I first came to this place. It's actually a hidden gem. The place is huge and clean, and the coffee and the food are amazing. Their staff are friendly. I normally order the side car. Today I ordered a slice of strawberry roll cake withit. It is super good even though I'm not a fan of strawberry. I know right? Who doesn't like strawberry? Hopefully the photos speak for themselves. I hate to recommend these kind of places to people because it would be hard to find a parking spot if it gets too crowded.
The coffee was great. The scone was delicious. The atmosphere was cool. We did enjoy watching them roast the beans while we had our drinks and snack. The staff was less than helpful. The young lady that took our order looked at us like we were annoying when we asked a question. Then when I went to buy some beans to take home, I couldn't get anyone to acknowledge me let alone help me. I'll buy some Kona coffee to take back home, but it wasn't from here and won't be.
